Climate4Buildings

Climate and energy analysis for architects and developers before design decisions harden.

Public platform positioning: from climate data to design impact before design begins.

The challenge

Climate4Buildings positions climate and energy data as something design teams should use from the first sketch, not only during final technical review. The product had to turn complex environmental information into clear guidance for architects, promoters, and developers.

The delivery needed to support location search, automated data gathering and processing, readable reports, climate analysis, preliminary energy and carbon assessment, photovoltaic potential, and passive-design recommendations without forcing users into scripts or weather-file wrangling.

Product goals

From climate data to design impact

The product translates location-specific climate and energy information into a readable workflow for design teams. The goal was to reduce the distance between technical data and practical architectural decisions before the massing and concept work becomes expensive to change.

The live platform presents a simple flow: enter a location, gather and process the data automatically, then review climate, energy, comfort, carbon, photovoltaic, and design-direction outputs in a report users can actually read.

Climate4Buildings temperature, humidity, and comfort analysis
Climate analysis includes EPW data, temperature and humidity patterns, wind roses, sun paths, precipitation, and comfort charts.
Delivery

Outputs architects can use

The implementation supports the public product promise: no scripts, no weather-file wrangling, and no opaque technical handoff. The system collects, processes, and presents site-specific data in a way that can guide early architectural decisions.

The output model covers climate analysis, preliminary energy and carbon assessment, photovoltaic potential, and passive-design strategies so teams can connect climate reality with practical design directions.

Climate4Buildings passive design recommendations
Passive-design recommendations connect climate analysis with concrete design strategies.
Result

Outcome

A production platform that makes site-specific climate, energy, comfort, carbon, photovoltaic, and passive-design insights easier to use before major design decisions are locked in.
